Next Meeting: Our next quarterly meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 7:30 pm at the Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust Conference Center located at 564 Nutt Road, Phoenixville, PA. Barbara Cohen will be our guest speaker. She will give a talk about the concept of freedom, including religious freedom, going back to William Penn in 1681 with his Charter of Religious Toleration. Those freedoms were guiding principles for the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. Her presentation will illustrate the early churches in Philadelphia and Chester County from both an architectural and religious perspective.
